DESCRIPTION:
Parvez Anwar has discovered a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows,
which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to the way that Windows registers and
uses Windows Object Packager. This can be exploited to load an
executable file (packager.exe) in an insecure manner by tricking a
user into opening e.g. a Publisher file (".pub") containing an
embedded packaged object located on a remote WebDAV or SMB share.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
SOLUTION:
Apply patches.
