DESCRIPTION:
Spentera Research has discovered a vulnerability in EZserver, which
can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a vulnerable
system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error when handling web
requests and can be exploited to cause a stack-based buffer overflow
via an overly long request sent to TCP port 8000.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code.
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 6.4.017. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted hosts only.
