DESCRIPTION:
Walied Assar has discovered a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows,
which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a Denial of
Service (DoS).
The vulnerability is caused due to a NULL-pointer deference error
within the "ZwSetInformationProcess()" function when handling process
priority and can be exploited to cause a crash.
The vulnerability is confirmed on a fully patched Windows 7
Professional (ntdll.dll version 6.1.7601.17725). Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
No official solution is currently available.
