DESCRIPTION:
Russ McRee has reported some vulnerabilities in Smart Classified ADS
and Smart Photo ADS, which can be exploited by malicious people to
conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Input passed to the "AdNum" and "Department" parameters in view.cgi
is not properly sanitised before being returned to the user. This can
be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of an affected site.
The vulnerabilities are reported in Smart Classified ADS
Professional, Smart Photo ADS, and Smart Photo ADS Gold.
SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters and character sequences in a web proxy.
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
