Moodle TeX Notation Filter Information Disclosure

DESCRIPTION:
Christian J. Eibl has discovered a security issue in Moodle, which
can be exploited by malicious users to disclose sensitive
information.

Various input is not properly verified before being used within the
TeX notation filter. This can be exploited to disclose the content of
arbitrary files via the "\input" TeX command.

Successful exploitation requires that a TeX environment is installed
on the server.

The security issue is confirmed in version 1.9.4. Other versions may
also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Reportedly fixed in the CVS repository.

Disable the TeX notation filter.
