TITLE:

SECUNIA ADVISORY ID:
SA34538
VERIFY ADVISORY:
https://secunia.com/advisories/34538/
DESCRIPTION:
Encrypt3d.M!nd has discovered a vulnerability in Abee Chm eBook
Creator, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a
user's system.
The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the processing
of project files (".chmprj"). This can be exploited to cause a
stack-based buffer overflow via a specially crafted project file
defining an overly long "FileName" parameter.
Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary code by
tricking a user into importing and compiling a specially crafted
project file.
This is related to:
SA34514
The vulnerability is confirmed in version 2.11. Other versions may
also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Do not open untrusted ".chmprj" files.
