DESCRIPTION:
Some weaknesses have been reported in Pidgin, which can be exploited

1) An error exists within the processing of certain incoming SLP
messages, which can be exploited to crash the application by sending
a specially crafted SLP message.
2) An error within the processing of certain nicknames in a XMPP
multi-user chat room can be exploited to crash the Finch client.
3) Displaying large amounts of smileys causes high CPU load, which
potentially can be exploited to render Pidgin unusable by sending a
message containing large amounts of smileys.
The weaknesses are reported in versions prior to 2.6.6.
