DESCRIPTION:
Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Cacti, which can be
exploited by malicious users to compromise a vulnerable system.
Input passed to the hostname when adding or editing a device or to
the vertical label when adding or editing a graph template is not
properly verified before being used, which can be exploited to inject
and execute arbitrary shell commands.
Successful exploitation requires access to the graph templates or
device sections.
The vulnerabilities are reported in version 0.8.7e. Other versions
may also be affected.
SOLUTION:
Restrict access to trusted users only.
